Austin, Texas – The University of Nebraska’s Computer Services Network Group selected Radiant RFID’s Virtual Asset Tracker (VAT) to RFID-enable its asset management system at the university’s Lincoln, NE campus.
Radiant was awarded the contract via an RFP process and selected by a Computing Services Network Group committee after demonstrating that the company’s asset tracking solution best meets the university’s organizational requirements and objectives. The University of Nebraska will use VAT to manage the locations of its inventory of IT, networking, and data center assets.
Radiant provides a complete solution of hardware, software, tags, and services. Everything needed to answer the question “Where is that?” for capital and controlled assets with minimal human involvement and maximum accuracy.
VAT keeps track of expected and exact locations of all types of assets; provides robust reporting and analytics that integrate with popular ERP systems; features an easy-to-use, configurable interface with a dashboard-style home screen for convenient asset overview, and supports passive and active RFID tags.
During an audit, VAT quickly reports what assets are assigned to, located within, or missing from a location. This information allows administrators to rapidly and accurately reconcile inventory and account for asset movement from room to room, building to building, and even campus to campus, thus saving time and money while fostering a philosophy of reuse.
Radiant’s customers use VAT to track and manage millions of assets every day. The University of Nebraska joins Radiant’s large family of higher education customers that utilize the asset tracking solution to keep track of equipment, furniture, vehicles, laptops, data center assets, and more.
