- INFRASTRUCTURE-FREE (IF) APPROACH for IoT Asset Management: Employees download Panther, an iOS Radiant application that inventories BLE-tagged assets, 100% in background mode. This enables any cell phone with Bluetooth to act as a tag reader – even when there’s no internet or data available.
Scenario 2:
As tagged containers approach a dock, Panther inventories them to the facility’s GPS location. Tagged assets on warehouse shelves are also inventoried as workers move within 200 feet of the tagged assets.
- INFRASTRUCTURE-LITE (IL) APPROACH for IoT Asset Tracking: A BLE Lightning Gateway is installed near a dock, as this approach requires point-of-entry tracking, however, it does not require the use of the Panther application. Data backhaul or SIM optional, while ruggedized enclosure option is available for the POE device. As tagged containers approach a dock, the BLE Lightning Gateway inventories them to the facility’s GPS location.
